TeraMedica to launch new Evercore version

Medical informatics firm TeraMedica of Milwaukee plans to introduce version 5.3 of its Evercore health imaging exchange software.

The new version will enhance Evercore's imaging application with an enterprise service bus (ESB) platform, creating a more user-friendly wide-area-network (WAN) architecture for sharing and routing data through healthcare enterprises, according to the company.

TeraMedica will also launch Evercore-Smartstore International version 5.2, which includes support for multiple languages and is optimized for Asian and European markets.

And the firm will show an updated version of Univision-Mobile for Apple iPad users. The new version will give authorized users fast access to all clinical images and stored digital clinical data from hospitals and clinics in the WAN to their iPad in locations with Internet access.

TeraMedica will also encourage RSNA attendees who are interested in vendor-neutral archiving (VNA) to enroll in its VNA University, a virtual learning site that will be launched November 30. The site is designed to bring the imaging community up to speed on the fast-changing requirements, capabilities, and complex lexicon of medical informatics.
