CT Technologist

Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician performs all procedures within the CT section of the Department of Radiology. 

Also performs general radiographic examinations as required.  Observes all radiation safety guidelines and performs any other duties which assist in the provision of quality patient care according to the mission and values of the health center.  Performs numerous technical procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, scrubs in to assist Radiologist when needed, maintains open lines of communication with all hospital staff as well as Radiology Administration and Radiologists.  Promotes a positive attitude and supports team efforts.  Practices Mercy Health values in action by respecting the uniqueness and dignity of each person.   Scheduled and works accordingly to meet department scheduling/patient care needs/operational demands, including working overtime as require.  Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

EDUCATION:

ARRT registered with previous experience preferred. 

Ohio Department of Health License for Radiologic Technologist required.

CT (ARRT certified) preferred

Basic Life Support required annually

ACLS preferred              

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years general radiography required

One (1) year CT experience preferred
