The UC Davis School of Medicine, Department of Radiology is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Nuclear Medicine Imaging position in the Professor of Clinical "X" Series or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series, at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank (commensurate with experience and credentials). Expertise in all aspects of PET, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiology is essential.

Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching, clinical care, research as well as university and public service.

Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching, professional competence, and activity, scholarly activities, or creative work, as well as university and public service.

Candidates must possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree, board certified or board-eligible in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or Nuclear Radiology (ABR), and be licensed or be eligible for licensure in the State of California.

Preferred qualifications include being board certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology (DR), experience and a willingness to work in other non-nuclear radiology services, and interest in cardiovascular or Oncologic Chest imaging.

The candidate will be involved in all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in nuclear medicine, including PET/CT, PET/MRI, molecular targeted systemic therapy, and nuclear cardiology. Participation in weeknight and weekend call in a rotation with other nuclear medicine division members is expected.

Nuclear Medicine equipment includes three PET/CT’s including the EXPLORER Total-Body scanner, three SPECT-CT’s, a dual head SPECT, and a single head SPECT camera. Adjacent to one of the PET/CT scanners there is a Rubidium Chloride generator that supports a busy cardiac PET service. There are two DEXA machines, a thyroid probe and an intra-operative probe for positron emitters available. There are two medical cyclotrons and a state-of-the-art GMP-grade radiochemistry facility on site.
