The Department of Radiology at the University of California, Davis seeks to hire two full-time faculty members at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor or Clinical X Radiology series. Rank and series will be dependent on the qualifications of the selected candidates.
Criteria for the Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching, professional competence, and activity, scholarly activities, or creative work, as well as university and public service.
Criteria for the Professor of Clinical "X" Series: The incumbent will be expected to engage in teaching, clinical care, research as well as university and public service.
The selected candidates will be expected to engage in clinical activities in all areas of inpatient, outpatient, and consults in Neuroradiology including plain film, CT, MRI, myelography, and the use of advanced neuroimaging techniques such as DTI, fMRI, MR spectroscopy and perfusion imaging. Participation in the weekend and on-call schedule of the Neuroradiology Division is expected.
Basic qualifications for the position include a M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree; possess or be eligible for a California 2168 Special Permit or licensure in the State of California; clinical expertise in all aspects of neuroradiology, including imaging of the brain, head and neck, spine, and pediatric neuroimaging; experience in and ability to teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows; have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment; and expertise in advanced neuroimaging techniques such as DTI, fMRI, MR spectroscopy, and perfusion imaging. Completed fellowship training in Neuroradiology is also required.
Preferred qualifications include ABR board eligible or certified in Diagnostic Radiology and possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Neuroradiology.
