Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join our collegial department. Join a physician led organization, committed to both high quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
This is an opportunity to build a dedicated full service Interventional practice from the 2 to 3 interventional radiologists and one VIR Advanced Practice Provider. The preferred candidate will have the desire to strengthen the practice by meeting with outreach clinics and create relationships with referring physicians.
* The current practice performs full gamut of interventional radiology procedures (including interventional oncology, spine and MSK intervention, PAD and venous intervention) with opportunities for further expansion as well as growth of new service lines
* Clinical IR practice model with robust, dedicated VIR outpatient clinic and inpatient consult service supported by a VIR NP
* Two dedicated IR suites including a new Siemens suite built within the last year and with plan for another new suite
Join a department of 15 radiologists who provide a variety of non-vascular interventional procedural coverage to multiple facilities in Southwest Minnesota. The willingness to assist with the diagnostic workload is expected. When fully staffed the interventional component of the practice will also help to cover a variety of modalities within the department (general community practice diagnostic coverage), with the ultimate goal of having specialized services covered 24/7. Candidates must be a fellowship trained, CAQ certified or eligible. Interest in peripheral vascular procedures is a plus. Mankato is one of the largest cities in southern MN and has earned several livability awards. Mankato's economic growth leads Minnesota and is among the top in the nation. The city has a contiguous population area of 96,740 and 1.6 million people live within 60 miles of Mankato. Greater Mankato is centrally located in south central Minnesota, nestled in the scenic beauty of the Minnesota River Valley, with convenient access to Minneapolis-St. Paul just one hour away.
