ACADEMIC RADIOLOGY POSITIONS
South of Houston (Clear Lake and League City), Texas
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Radiology Department is a growing and diverse academic imaging practice. We have multiple openings for board-certified or eligible radiologists across all specialties, including neuroradiology, abdominal/body imaging, mammography, chest/cardiac, interventional, and pediatric radiology. Our faculty have home reading stations and can read diagnostic studies remotely 1-2 days per week with clinic responsibilities 3-4 days per week. Fully remote positions available in most states provided the radiologist has a Texas medical license.
UTMB Health has state of the art equipment across all specialties including 1.5 and 3.0T MRI, multi detector and dual energy CT, single and biplane angiographic equipment, advanced 3D breast imaging, and intraoperative MRI and angiographic capabilities. We operate four hospitals within the Houston/Galveston area including our collaborative hospital with MD Anderson Cancer Center in League City as well as Clear Lake and our flagship Galveston hospital with a Level I trauma center. Our smaller community hospital is in the fast-growing Angleton/Danbury community.
The UTMB Radiology Department is a vibrant academic practice that educates 6-7 radiology residents per year, and 1-4 fellows each year in our diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology training programs. UTMB Radiology can help foreign medical graduates gain certification by the American Board of Radiology.
The Houston/Clear Lake/League City area is home to the Johnson Space Center-NASA, which is the focus of UTMB’s growing practice.
