The Ultrasound Sonographer performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning for patient care. The Ultrasound Sonographer demonstrates competency in all skills necessary to care for all types of patients. The Ultrasound Sonographer performs all types of Ultrasound procedures involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients, and outpatients.

Performs all aspects of General and Vascular sonography.

This full-time position offers a $5000 sign on bonus for experienced Ultrasound Tech*  

The Ultrasound Sonographer performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning for patient care. The Ultrasound Sonographer demonstrates competency in all skills necessary to care for all types of patients. The Ultrasound Sonographer performs all types of Ultrasound procedures involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients.

Performs all aspects of General and Vascular sonography.

Schedules include 8 hour day shifts with 1 weekend per month and holiday and on call rotation. 2nd shift available also.

Job Duties Include:

- Selects appropriate equipment and supplies needed to perform each procedure in order to provide continuity of care.

- Selects proper technical factors according to established protocol and study requested in order to produce quality images.

- Positions the patient according to established protocol in order to provide optimum diagnostic information.

- Assists radiologists and staff physicians as requested in order to promote continuity of care.

- Performs quality control on all completed studies prior to radiologist interpretation in order to assure optimum information and verifies all studies in PACS.

- Ensures equipment viability through performing established warm up procedure and equipment quality control.

- Calibrates equipment and performs required quality control procedures on a daily basis in order to assure equipment viability.

- Communicates procedural instructions to all patients prior to examination in order to assure patient comprehension.

- Reviews the daily patient schedule in order to maximize efficiency and minimize patient waiting time.

- Practices proper infection control

- Possesses current knowledge of imaging technology in order to provide quality patient care services.

Schedule:

Varied 8 hour shifts starting between 7:00am - 9:00am. 

Saturday rotation typically 1 Saturday per month, Holiday and On Call Rotation.
