Interim Director of Operations

The Interim Director of Operations will temporarily manage our clinical imaging sites in Fairfield and Vacaville, CA overseeing MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammo, Ultrasound, Dexa and General Xray. The Interim Director will lead site personnel either personally or through site managers and supervisors in the achievement of operating goals and objectives by ensuring efficient, stable, safe and cost-effective operations while delivering quality medical studies and maintaining and expanding physician relations.  This is a full-time, temporary position expected to last 6 to 9 months.

Bay Medical Management, LLC (BMMLLC) is a medical services organization (MSO) headquartered in Walnut Creek.  The organization provides administrative and management services to Bay Imaging Consultants Medical Group (BIC) who is the premier radiology group in Northern California.

 

SUMMARY

The Interim Director of Operations will temporarily manage our clinical imaging sites in Fairfield and Vacaville, CA overseeing MRI, CT, PET/CT, Mammo, Ultrasound, Dexa and General Xray. The Interim Director will lead site personnel either personally or through site managers and supervisors in the achievement of operating goals and objectives by ensuring efficient, stable, safe and cost-effective operations while delivering quality medical studies and maintaining and expanding physician relations.  This is a full-time, temporary position expected to last 6 to 9 months.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees activities of site, managers, supervisors, and staff as appropriate in the day to day management of site operations.
  • Oversees fiscal activities of operational sites/entities by establishing and managing the annual site budget.
  • Ensures appropriate staff management to include hiring, training, developing, and motivating employees in order to minimize inefficiencies, risks, and turnover.
  • Manages and negotiates property, equipment and other site related leases.
  • Work with hospital administration on messaging of our outpatient services and how it fits into the overall strategic plan for the community and patient access
  • Understanding of different modalities and ACR accreditation certification
  • Plans and implements site consolidations and improvements, remodeling and construction projects.
  • Evaluates and recommends procurement of medical imaging equipment.
  • Interacts regularly with administrative directors and managers to assist with the development of systems and procedures that enhance operations utilizing a team approach.
  • Effectively interfaces with physician owners/clients by developing and maintaining communication channels/processes that minimize conflict and disruptions.
  • Assists in the evaluation of the feasibility of business opportunities by reviewing and developing operational statistics, imaging and computer equipment, equipment leases, maintenance agreements, and property leases.
  • Directly supervises a various number of employees

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Certificate of completion of radiologic technical training from an AMA approved institution.
  • Minimum of three to four years staff technologist experience. Lead experience preferred.
  • Significant experience in medical management, preferably radiology.
