EOS to show new software at AAOS meeting

Orthopedic imaging technology developer EOS Imaging plans to bring a series of new software products to this week's 2018 American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) annual meeting in New Orleans.

The company will show its stereoView software for patient engagement and clinical collaboration; its hipEOS 3.0 software, which is currently pending clearance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA); and its other EOSapps for 3D orthopedic surgical planning.

The stereoView software is designed to share 2D and 3D data among radiologists, referring physicians, and patients, according to the vendor. It displays key parameters to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating osteoarticular pathologies and orthopedic conditions, the company said. EOS plans to launch stereoView in April.

EOS also said that its software will be featured in eight scientific presentations and posters at the meeting, demonstrating its value in pediatric spine surgery and arthroplasty.
