Shimadzu picks Konica Minolta's AeroDR for mobile system

Shimadzu Medical Systems USA has selected Konica Minolta Medical Imaging's AeroDR as the exclusive flat-panel detector for its new MobileDaRt MX7i portable digital radiography (DR) system.

Shimadzu selected the Konica Minolta AeroDR detector to integrate into the portable system because the 14 x 17-inch AeroDR panel is lightweight, water-resistant, and rugged, with grip strips for easier holding. The panel also fits most operating room tables. Meanwhile, Konica Minolta's 10 x 12-inch AeroDR panel is well-suited for extremities as well as small patients.

MX7i is an integrated all-in-one DR system that can increase a facility's productivity with optimal power management to maximize battery life. It detects when the system is idle, conserving power and increasing the time the system can be used before recharging.
