Utah governor signs breast density law

Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has signed the state's breast density reporting bill (HB 258), making Utah the 32nd U.S. state to enact a breast density notification law.

The bill mandates the reporting of dense tissue to patients as part of their mammography reporting results. Similar bills are also awaiting signatures from governors in Washington, Florida, and Wisconsin, according to the Are You Dense Advocacy group.
