Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Caption Health has added telemedicine exec Joseph DeVivo to its board of directors.
DeVivo is the president of hospitals and health systems at Teladoc Health, a telemedicine and virtual healthcare company based in Dallas. At Teladoc, DeVivo oversees an enterprise-wide virtual care platform and hardware business used by hospitals, health systems, retail clinics, and physician groups.
Caption Health has developed a platform for AI-guided ultrasound for earlier disease detection and monitoring. The first use of the software is in cardiovascular ultrasound, and the company plans to develop applications in other clinical areas. DeVivo's involvement will help expand access to cardiac ultrasound in more care settings, Caption Health said.
