Konica Minolta debuts ultrasound-guided procedure package

Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas has unveiled UGPro Solution, an initiative aimed at providing a complete offering for ultrasound-guided procedures and therapies.

The company said it's expanding its musculoskeletal (MSK) product and service portfolio by acquiring complementary products and signing distribution agreements. For example, Konica Minolta used a new distribution agreement to combine its Sonimage HS1 portable MSK ultrasound scanner with HydroCision's TenJet percutaneous tenotomy system to provide an all-in-one package for needling, debridement, and lavage of diseased tissue under ultrasound guidance.

The company is also sponsoring hands-on education and training for UGPro in a variety of settings, including at a clinical practice as well as at regional workshops in Anaheim, CA; Atlanta; Chicago; and the firm's corporate headquarters in Wayne, NJ.
