Dicom Systems unveils DCMShare at RSNA

Dicom Systems has introduced DCMShare, a digital repository for the secure transmission and sharing of radiological images and reports, at the RSNA 2011 meeting in Chicago.

DCMShare's unique design protects against the loss of ownership for stored data while sharing information outside or inside the healthcare enterprise. DCMShare's Physician Interface enables broad, secure access to data without CDs, virtual private networks, film, or paper.

A vendor-neutral system, DCMShare is compatible with any PACS. It is well-suited for small and medium-sized facilities that are entering the digital environment and large institutions wanting to improve the way they store and share images and radiology related data, according to the company.

DCMShare works effectively with Dicom Systems' highly configurable DICOM and HL7 router. It encrypts outgoing traffic and applies technical enhancements from standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), DICOM, and HL7 data compatibility protocols.
