USEI opens India facility

Diagnostic display distributor U.S. Electronics (USEI) of Minneapolis last month opened a new joint-venture manufacturing plant in India to produce medical imaging technology for hospitals in the country.

USEI partnered with Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL) of Hyderabad to open the plant, also located in Hyderabad. The facility will produce digital radiography, medical-grade LCD monitors, and teleradiology and PACS software to help convert Indian hospitals to filmless operation.
