Hyland unveils new workflow software, product updates at RSNA

Hyland Healthcare is unveiling its new ImageNext enterprise workflow software and upgrades to its line of enterprise imaging products at RSNA 2018.

Hyland Healthcare, which is a business unit of content software developer Hyland, plans to release ImageNext in early 2019, but RSNA attendees will get a preview at the meeting. ImageNext includes a universal worklist for all imaging studies from multiple sources across healthcare networks and supports multiple PACS, as well as centralized vendor-neutral archive (VNA) deployments, according to the company.

ImageNext enables intelligent case routing and workload balancing for more efficient diagnostic and treatment decision support, Hyland said. The software also includes productivity analytics tools that may be used to monitor and manage clinical service line performance.

The company also plans to showcase a range of enhancements to its current portfolio of enterprise imaging products that it believes will help improve efficiency of image capture and sharing across health systems.

Improvements to Hyland's zero-footprint NilRead universal viewer include new segmentation and image-rendering engines, functionality enabling multidisciplinary team review of digital pathology studies and 3D mesh file expert for medical-grade 3D printing applications, according to the company.

Hyland is also highlighting updates to the Acuo Admin Portal, which now allows access enhanced HIS/RIS management tools, supports Issuer of Patient ID domain configurations, and includes additional batch processing and enhanced reporting capabilities.
