NucleusHealth eyes cloud image management at HIMSS 2017

NucleusHealth, parent company of teleradiology services provider StatRad, will showcase its nucleus.io cloud-based image management system at next week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting in Orlando, FL.

In a session on Tuesday, February 21, NucleusHealth Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Chris Hafey will discuss how nucleus.io will support Precision Imaging Metrics, a software application developed by the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center's Tumor Imaging Metrics Core (TIMC). Precision Imaging Metrics is designed to improve the interpretation of imaging performed to evaluate the therapeutic response of patients enrolled in clinical trials, and it is currently being used at six U.S. National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers. The entire Precision platform will be hosted in the cloud by nucleus.io, according to NucleusHealth.

TIMC believes the evolution of Precision Imaging Metrics to a web-based, cloud-hosted deployment will enhance accessibility, reduce support requirements, and enable broader adoption of the software across the cancer research community, NucleusHealth said.
