Aycan introduces VNA software

Radiology informatics firm Aycan Medical Systems has introduced a new vendor-neutral archiving (VNA) and distribution software.

Aycan store VNA is compatible with disparate PACS and is designed to help healthcare organizations improve the management and sharing of images and other data, the company said. It features an open platform to store and access DICOM and non-DICOM images and integrate RIS, electronic medical record (EMR), and other patient management systems.

Other capabilities include an autopolicy setting that automates the purging, compression, copying, and movement of images and data across a healthcare enterprise. Also, primary images and data can be stored in the central VNA while copies are maintained on local systems, Aycan said.
