Mach7 receives patent for mobile application

Image management technology developer Mach7 Technologies has been awarded a U.S. patent for its iModality mobile application.

The patent covers any mobile device that can capture and upload imaging data into a patient's electronic medical record (EMR), according to the company.

It enables clinicians to securely capture medical imaging data, including photos, videos, and notes, using a Web-enabled smart device, such as an iPhone or iPad. The data can then be sent to an archive through the Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform, with a link to an EMR for immediate access.
