PACSGear to debut ModLink at HIMSS 2013

PACS accessories firm PACSGear plans to use next week's Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) meeting to introduce ModLink, a software application that transfers structured report measurements directly into the PowerScribe 360 Reporting application from Nuance Communications.

ModLink uses DICOM Structured Report, HL7, or XML measurement data from imaging modalities such as ultrasound, dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), or CT and autopopulates reports with these values. This saves radiologists dictation time and reduces the potential for human error, according to the company.
