Siemens Healthineers and MRI Interventions have signed an agreement that calls for the companies to integrate their respective technologies for MRI-guided surgical navigation and therapy procedures.
Under the deal, MRI Interventions will integrate its ClearPoint neuro navigation system with the Access-I software available on Siemens' Magnetom family of MRI scanners. The integration will facilitate faster preplanning and periprocedural data transfer to and from the ClearPoint system for use in both navigation and therapy procedures, according to the companies.
Access-I is a software application from Siemens that allows third-party device integration with Magnetom scanners through interactive remote control and data access procedures and protocols.
