Aspect, Brightonix debut preclinical PET insert

Compact MRI technology developer Aspect Imaging and Brightonix Imaging said that their SimPET insert can now be used to provide simultaneous PET/MRI capability on all standard preclinical research MRI systems.

First introduced two years ago for use with Aspect's M7 compact MRI scanner, SimPET is now available for clear magnet bore sizes from 16 cm to 40 cm and field strengths from 3 tesla to 11.74 tesla, the companies said. Aspect and Brightonix will showcase SimPET at next week's 2018 World Molecular Imaging Congress in Seattle.
