The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Foundation has awarded $265,600 in scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Awarded to 72 recipients, the ASRT Foundation's scholarship awards ranged from $500 to $5,000 and were funded via partnerships with corporations, nonprofit organizations, and ASRT members, according to the association.
Two scholarships were added this year:
- Elio "Leo" DelVecchio Scholarship: Awarded for the 2022-2023 year to a medical imaging professional pursuing an academic degree.
- LGBTQ+ Scholarship: Awarded to one recipient who has demonstrated involvement in LGBTQ+ community activities as a member or leader of a LGBTQ+ club or other civic activity connected to the community, according to the ASRT.
