ARRT wins $10K in misrepresentation lawsuit

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) has won a lawsuit against defendant Corey Cox for misrepresenting ARRT trademarked credentials.

In a recent court decision, a judge from the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ordered that Cox refrain from using ARRT trademarks and pay liquidated damages amounting to $10,000, in addition to attorney fees.

The lawsuit is part of an effort by the ARRT to maintain the integrity of its certification and registration programs, according to the registry.
