National medical group Mednax posted higher revenue for its 2018 third-quarter and nine-month periods (end-September 30).
The company saw revenue of $897 million in the third quarter, a 3.2% increase from $869 million for the same period in 2017. Net income decreased, from $65.9 million in the third quarter of 2017 to $65.6 million in the most recent period.
For the nine-month period, Mednax posted revenue of $2.71 billion, up 6.6% from $2.55 billion during the same time frame in 2017. Nine-month net income was $208.4 million, compared with $184.3 million last year.
In other Mednax news, the company has purchased Associates in Diagnostic Radiology of Chattanooga, TN. The practice will integrate with Radiology Alliance, a Mednax-affiliated practice in Nashville. The deal is Mednax's eighth radiology services practice acquisition.
