RSNA extends partnership in Brazil

RSNA and the Radiological and Diagnostic Imaging Society of São Paulo (SPR) have decided to continue their partnership into the next decade.

The organizations will collaborate on the planning of Jornada Paulista de Radiologia (JPR) in 2020, 2022, and 2024. JPR is the leading medical imaging meeting in Latin America and attracts more than 20,000 people, including representatives from 110 companies, RSNA said.

RSNA and SPR leaders initiated the partnership five years ago to help advance radiologic science and education internationally. Since then, the two groups have worked together on JPR meetings in 2014, 2016, and 2018 to showcase the offerings of both organizations.

For the upcoming JPR meetings, SPR and RSNA will collaborate on the structure and program content, plenary sessions, and speakers. RSNA also will assist in developing materials and courses that are not typically offered at JPR.

Nearly 30% of RSNA members reside outside of North America, including approximately 3,000 members in South America.
