Vida inks development deal with Veran

Advanced visualization software developer Vida Diagnostics of Iowa City, IA, and surgical planning firm Veran Medical Technologies of St. Louis have signed an agreement to develop and distribute an endobronchial lung navigation and biopsy system.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two firms plan to integrate Vida's Pulmonary Workstation 2.0 (PW2) with comprehensive CT lung analysis package with Veran's IG4 navigation system that includes 4D registration technology.

The resulting product is expected to provide accurate guidance, detailed image analysis, and quantitative procedural mapping for use in evaluating indeterminate lung nodules, according to Susan Wood, Vida president and CEO.
