Avicenna, Canon to partner on AI stroke detection

Avicenna.AI and Canon Medical Systems are partnering to develop a stroke-detection artificial intelligence (AI) platform.

The collaboration will integrate Avicenna.AI's CINA Head triage software for neurovascular applications into Canon's automation platform, which will help users to detect and prioritize intracranial hemorrhages and large-vessel occlusions visualized on CT.

CINA Head consists of a combination of deep-learning and machine-learning algorithms, and can detect acute intracranial hemorrhage and large-vessel occlusion cases within 20 seconds, Avicenna.AI said.
