Ilumina debuts imaging AI for insurance, law firms

Canadian healthcare artificial intelligence (AI) technology developer Ilumina has launched an AI-powered bespoke concierge diagnostic medical imaging service targeted at insurance companies and law firms.

The company's AI algorithm employs analytics to predict the probability of a patient's future medical prognosis, helping lawyers, paralegals, and insurance adjusters assist in decision-making for their clients, according to the firm. Via its telemedicine portal, Ilumina also provides patients with expedited access to medical imaging services. Urgent scans can be booked within 24 hours, with results available 24 hours after the study is completed, Ilumina said.

The service includes MRI, brain SPECT, CT, x-ray, and ultrasound studies.
