Vida partners with Iowa healthcare network

Lung imaging software developer Vida Diagnostics has entered into a partnership with UnityPoint Health Ventures, part of Iowa's UnityPoint Health healthcare system.

UnityPoint Health will invest in Vida to help develop and market its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered lung analysis software, LungPrint. The software provides users with information on lung density abnormalities that may indicate emphysema or interstitial lung disease, the company said.

Vida Diagnostics has also secured funds from the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) to develop LungPrint, according to the firm.
