MaxQ AI touts advance in AI performance

Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer MaxQ AI has tripled the computational performance of its Accipio algorithm for detecting intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) and stroke, according to the company.

MaxQ AI credited its collaboration with Intel for Accipio's enhanced ability to help clinicians prioritize critical patients and provide near real-time ICH diagnosis.

The company's Accipio Ix ICH identification and triaging software uses vision algorithms that are comprised of machine-learning neural networks to interpret noncontrast CT images from all major vendors.

Accipio Ix has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European CE Mark. It is available through CT and PACS products from major vendors.
