PocketHealth adds Illinois health system to customer list

Image sharing technology provider PocketHealth said that Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) has begun using its image-sharing platform.

PocketHealth image sharing allows patients can access and share their medical images securely via their computer, tablet, or smartphone, eliminating the need to travel to a hospital for a CD-ROM of their medical images. Additionally, patients now have access to PocketHealth's Report Reader function, which defines complex medical terms in the radiology report.

SIH is the first hospital site in Illinois to adopt PocketHealth, according to the firm.
