FiatLux taps Smillie to head sales

Advanced visualization software developer FiatLux Imaging of Redmond, WA, has named PACS industry veteran Richard Smillie to lead the company's sales effort.

Smillie previously was an OEM account executive at Compressus of Washington, DC, and also has worked for Analogic of Peabody, MA. His title will be sales director, and he will be based in Falls Church, VA.

FiatLux is developing its first 3D software product, FiatLux Visualize, which it plans to launch this summer.
