Materialise posts strong growth in Q2

3D printing firm Materialise recorded healthy revenue growth in its second quarter of 2017.

For the period (end-June 30), Materialise's medical segment had revenues of 10.6 million euros ($12.5 million U.S.), up 9.7% compared with the 9.7 million euros ($11.4 million) recorded in the 2016 second quarter. Medical software revenues climbed 15.5% during the quarter, while medical devices and services revenue increased by 6.6%.

The company's medical segment had quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of 758,000 euros ($889,000), compared with 14,000 euros ($16,400) in the same quarter a year ago.
