Numa adopts virtual model for software

Nuclear medicine connectivity developer Numa has adopted a virtual model for its connectivity and image management software.

The company said at last week's RSNA 2012 meeting that its software has been validated to work with the VMware virtualization environment, and its customers can begin migrating to this platform. The advantage is that Numa customers can now run the firm's software without having an extra computer workstation in their facility.

Numa will continue to provide hardware-based offerings such as its Numa Box for those who wish to have turnkey products that include computer hardware, onsite installation, training, and support.
