A Thai research team will tackle the human resources requirements necessary for a secure RIS/PACS in this poster presentation.

To run a RIS/PACS in compliance with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard for an information security management system, institutions need to ensure they have the right people for the job, according to presenter Suranarong Kamtasila of Piyavate Hospital in Bangkok.

As a result, the research team sought to create a simple tool for hospital executives to appropriately manage and employ qualified personnel who fit job descriptions and functions, Kamtasila said. This basic qualification and skill-sets matrix can also be used to manage underperforming personnel by identifying their weaknesses and provide training to improve their skills, he said.

"Managed workflow and good human resources management will enable hospitals to have a clearer view on system management and security risk controls," Kamtasila told AuntMinnie.com.
