This research team will present visitors with an overview of different PACS and 3D workstation image scrolling techniques.
Attendees can learn about various methods of scrolling through images, including current methods provided by vendors, as well as completely new ideas, said Michael Teistler, PhD, of Malvern, PA-based Siemens Healthcare. They will also be able to find out whether any of these methods could improve their reading efficiency and/or reduce their physical stress during reading.
"In addition, we plan to demonstrate ideas on how the task of scrolling can be better combined with other frequently used functions like zooming or windowing, other than with the typical approach of simply letting the user switch between different tools," Teistler said.
