The U.K. Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and clinical decision-support (CDS) software developer MedCurrent rolled out the OrderWise CDS software at RSNA 2017.

OrderWise is designed to guide referring clinicians through differential diagnoses and help them make the correct imaging modality decisions for their patients.

OrderWise runs with the eighth edition of iRefer: Making the best use of clinical radiology, the most current referral guide from the RCR, which launched earlier this year.

The guide was created by more than 300 practicing radiologists and features more than 280 detailed, condition-specific guidelines for physicians, general practitioners, radiologists, physiotherapists, dentists, and other referring clinicians.
