Agfa to introduce new DR room at RSNA 2016

Agfa HealthCare plans to introduce a new digital radiography (DR) room at the upcoming RSNA 2016 meeting.

The company's work-in-progress DR 800 x-ray room can handle radiography, fluoroscopy, and advanced clinical applications. It includes Agfa's Musica digital x-ray image processing software and workstation, which can now also process moving images, and features 180-cm source-to-image-receptor distance (SID) and autopositioning presets for chest imaging.

DR 800 can be equipped with high-frequency fluoroscopy generator options of 50 kW, 65 kW, or 80 kW; a console for patient-side positioning; a wireless console for remote control; a compressor cone; and an autoswitching antiscatter grid, Agfa said.
