Carestream Health displayed new digital x-ray detectors, ultrasound systems, and its new radiography/fluoroscopy (R/F) unit at RSNA 2015.

The new Carestream DRX Plus 3543 and DRX Plus 3543C wireless x-ray detectors are faster and lighter than previous models, with features to help achieve higher productivity and improved image quality, the firm said.

The Carestream DRX-Excel and DRX-Excel Plus R/F systems enhance workflow and perform contrast exams using fluoroscopy that can be associated with a radiography image, in addition to specialized interventional procedures, according to the company.

The Carestream Touch Prime and Touch Prime XE ultrasound systems capture images for radiology, ob/gyn, musculoskeletal, and vascular applications. These systems can deliver enhanced views of moving anatomical structures and equip sonographers and clinicians with the ability to better visualize small structures and contrast differences in tissue, Carestream said.

The firm also showcased a conebeam CT (CBCT) system intended for orthopedic imaging in hospitals, hospitals, clinics, and sports medicine facilities that is investigational and not available for commercial sale.
