PerkinElmer is debuting a new flat-panel digital radiography (DR) detector at RSNA 2013 in Chicago.

The company is rolling out its XRpad 4336 wireless cassette detector component for upgrading from film to digital. It's a lightweight, flat-panel detector that fits into a conventional table or wall-stand bucky for DR upgrades/retrofits, as well as new systems.

The XRpad 4336 has a 15 million pixel image matrix, automatic exposure detection, a 100-µm pixel pitch, and a directly deposited cesium iodide scintillator.
