PACS search engine developer Softek Solutions has introduced version 4.0 of its Illuminate software.

Illuminate 4.0 automatically delivers a patient's clinical history as soon as a radiologist opens the study to read, according to the firm. The software's PatientView tool pulls in clinical notes from the electronic medical record and displays them along with relevant radiology, pathology, and lab reports at the time of interpretation, Softek said.

Softek will present the new release at the upcoming RSNA 2013 meeting in Chicago.
