VIENNA - For the first time at a European congress, Swissray International is displaying its ceiling-mounted digital radiography (DR) system, the ddR Aura FMTS, at ECR 2016.

The vendor received the CE Mark for the product last autumn and is awaiting U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. Completion of the first full installation at a reference site in the Lucerne area of Switzerland is expected in June 2016.

The device is designed for easy positioning with high flexibility and minimum room requirements, and the system can perform a range of general and specialized radiographic imaging, according to Swissray.
