IRadimed to debut MRI pulse oximeter at ECR

MRI accessories company IRadimed announced the launch of its iMagox 2460 nonmagnetic MRI-compatible pulse oximetry (SpO2) monitor, which will make its debut at the upcoming European Congress of Radiology (ECR).

The monitor is equipped with a wireless remote control and is intended for use with 0.2-tesla to 3.0-tesla MRI scanners. It is completely operational up to the 10,000-Gauss line.

The system uses a specially designed fiber-optic SpO2 sensor that, when used with Masimo SET technology, provides reliable SpO2 readings during conditions of low perfusion and/or patient movement, the vendor said.

The large-screen monitor facilitates viewing from a distance of several meters, and is lightweight enough to be safely attached to a bedrail or an IV pole. An extended-battery operation feature is designed to facilitate uninterrupted patient monitoring from before the exam begins until after its completion.
