CereHealth gets FDA nod for image viewer

CereHealth, a subsidiary of neurodiagnostic firm CereScan, has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its CereMetrix Silver image viewer.

CereMetrix Silver utilizes voxel-level images collected from SPECT, PET, MRI, and CT scans to help physicians localize and define brain function and differentiate between hyper- and hypofunction in the brain.

Features include automated cluster analysis for quantitative and statistical analysis of SPECT brain scans by comparison with other registered SPECT brain scans. The proprietary workflow also offers automated reporting capabilities.
