RSNA doubles virtual meeting offerings

The 100th RSNA meeting in Chicago is expected to attract more than 50,000 attendees, but this year, organizers are also paying special attention to those who can't attend in person, doubling the number of virtual presentations that will be available compared to last year.

The RSNA virtual meeting allows radiology professionals to experience important sessions and features of the meeting on their own time, whether they are in Chicago or across the globe, RSNA said. A wide variety of live and on-demand sessions will be presented during the meeting, with on-demand sessions continuing through December 19.

Besides doubling the number of sessions, this year's virtual meeting allows radiologic technologists to obtain continuing education credit, RSNA said.

Starting November 29, registered virtual meeting attendees can watch 60 live streaming courses, including plenary sessions, image interpretation sessions, refresher courses, multisession courses, and scientific sessions. Attendees can also submit diagnoses for cases of the day, earn continuing education credits for live courses, and view digital education exhibits.

The virtual meeting continues 24 hours a day until December 5, with archived content to be available after RSNA ends. The cost of registration is $100 for members of RSNA or the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) and $300 for nonmembers. RSNA members-in-training, medical students, and retired RSNA members can access the content for free.
