Canadian informatics assoc. names new president

The Canadian Organization for Advancement of Computers in Health (COACH), Canada's not-for-profit health informatics association, has named Neil Gardner as the organization's new president and chairman of its board of directors.

Gardner heads eHealth Saskatchewan and has served as the chief information officer of the Saskatchewan ministry of health.

The Toronto organization also announced its new board of directors, which includes President-Elect Mike Barron, the chief executive officer of the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information.
