Perma-Fix inks isotope deal

Perma-Fix Environmental Services has signed an exclusive option agreement with Battelle, which operates Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) for the U.S. Department of Energy, to license technology from PNNL for use with Perma-Fix's proprietary process to produce molybdenum-99 (Mo-99).

Perma-Fix has applied for patents covering various steps of the process, which under the new agreement will now incorporate PNNL's technology.

Perma-Fix's Mo-99 production process covers the full production cycle, from reactor to final medical supply.
