Aycan teams with SOVAmed

Radiology informatics firm Aycan Medical Systems of Rochester, NY, and SOVAmed of Koblenz, Germany, are collaborating on medical postprocessing technology and the companies' first joint project, SOVA.evar.

SOVA.evar is a plug-in designed by SOVAmed using Aycan's Mac-based OsiriX Pro visualization software for processing and visualization of medical imaging data. The technology focuses on abdominal aortic aneurysms, enhancing the assessment of clinically relevant parameters.

The new product was introduced at the annual German Society for Vascular Surgery meeting earlier this month in Berlin and will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
