CIVCO introduces new fiducial markers

Ultrasound and radiotherapy products developer CIVCO Medical Solutions of Kalona, IA, has introduced a new line of implantable markers to identify the location of normal or diseased tissue for future treatments, including image-guided radiation therapy.

FlexiMarc and FlexiCoil are made of biocompatible pure gold and were developed by Cortex Manufacturing of Lake Stevens, WA, for distribution by CIVCO.

FlexiMarc is available in two- or three-node variations; nodes are fixed 10-mm apart and 3-mm long, and they are available in 0.9-mm and 1.2-mm diameters.

FlexiCoil is available in 10-mm and 20-mm lengths, with 30-mm length available soon. It also is currently available with 0.9-mm and 1.2-mm diameters, with smaller diameter markers in development.
